The Trigger Response Planner
This is a safe place for sensitive dogs and the people who love them.
Together we'll take one trigger — the doorbell, a guest, another dog on the walk, thunder, a car ride — and build one plan you can actually use. What to notice. What to say. Where to go. How to settle afterward.
About 30 minutes, three short modules, roughly twelve questions. There's no rush and no right answer. You can pause anytime and come back; everything you write stays in your own browser.
Your dog's behavior was never the real problem. It's information. We'll start there. — Marilyn
The three modules
Module 1
See the Trigger Clearly
We start with one trigger. Just one. Not everything that's hard — one moment you'd like to meet differently. This is observation, not blame. Nothing here is a test.
Module 2
Honor Your Dog's Truth
Underneath the behavior there is a truth. Not a flaw, not a broken dog. Let's listen to it. Less effort and resistance here — more attention and intention.
Module 3
Prepare the Safe Response
Now we build the plan, walking gently through Acknowledge → Accept → Advocate. Nothing forced, nothing pushed through. You choose every word of this.
Your saved plans
Nothing saved yet. When you finish a plan it will rest here, and you can start another for a different trigger whenever you're ready.
A gentle note: this workshop isn't a diagnosis and it isn't a substitute for veterinary care. If your dog's distress is severe or persistent, please bring a veterinarian — ideally one who works with behavior — into your circle of care. Nothing here asks your dog to push through fear.
